We aim to ensure all programs are available to everyone. This includes providing Taxi vouchers to those without transportation to our programs, and child care for any parent education classes. We also encourage participant feedback on any of our programs, so don't be shy to let us know what you think! Either by speaking to our staff members, or by contacting us via email or through our Facebook page. Please remember that we follow the regular school calendar, and therefore our centre is closed on the same days as the school.

Gym Time!

Come get active on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for Gym Time!  This is a time for kids and parents to let loose and get the screams and energy out in the school gym.  Parents can engage their children in gross motor activities like soccer, basketball, gymnastics, dance and more while just having fun playing. This is also a great time for children to engage in social play with peers. Ideal for children 0 - 6 years of age, accompanied by a parent or caregiver. This program is followed in the classroom with a communal snack for those participants wanting it.

Place: Parent Link Centre, Horace Allen School, Coleman. Meet us in the gym.

Discovery Day

Every Wednesday we will turn into discovery detectives! Come learn through hands-on discovery projects that will be new and exciting every week in themes. Why do we get rainbows, what was the Jurassic period like or how do plants grow? So many questions to explore. So let's do it together with he help of fun activities led by our Facilitator.

Place: Parent Link Centre, Horace Allen School, Coleman

Fun With Art!

Let's get artsy! Every Friday parents and children can join our Facilitator in fun arts and craft themes and walk away at the end of each day with a new masterpiece. Some days will be free playtime with our craft supplies too, so come create with us.

PASS - Parent And Student Support

Raising a teen?  We offer parenting workshops, a parenting support group, student support groups, career connections, wellness programming, and a free resource library for the Crowsnest Pass and area.

Moms 4 Moms

The Mentoring Moms Program is a way to connect a mom with a more experienced mother - someone who's been there, and is alive to tell the taale.  It serves women who are either pregnant or have at least one child age 12 and younger.  The program involves a mom and a mentor meeting once a week for help with setting goals, answering questions, getting advice or feedback, and connecting the mom with other resources. They'll also connect and do a fun activity with the children once a month.  We hold various group events throughout the year with all the moms and mentors, for learning, self-care and for fun.

This program is very grateful to its 2016-2018 funding partner: Alberta Government: Family Community Safety Program

Parenting Workshops

Throughout the year  we host information sessions and workshops on various parenting topics of interest to parents in our community. These might include sessions on building positive parenting skills, how to explore art, sciences and music with children, how to maintain healthy family relationships or even learning more about financing and budgets. We are always open for suggestions on potential topics too, so remember to let one of our staff members or our Parent Workshop Planner know if there is anything of interest we can try to arrange.  Detailed information on any workshops will be available at our Parent Link Centre, shared on our Facebook page or  can also be viewed under the Posters tab.

Resource Library

We have a variety of parenting books, children?s stories, and educational DVDs available to parents in our community.  You may borrow our resources FREE of charge, so please come in to our centre and check out our selection. An online directory for materials relating to PASS is also posted online.

By using the Ages and  Stages Questionnaire, which you can complete at home or at our Parent Link Centre, we are able to help you follow the development of your child.
