PARENT AND STUDENT SUPPORT PROGRAM
We are fortunate to offer PASS through funding from the Crowsnest Pass Family and Community Support Services. PASS provides free support to parents and other caregivers of teens, as well as teens themselves, to build resilient families. PASS is open to everyone in the community, including home-schooled families and those with children who exited school early.
PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
just as with other Parent Link Centre programs, the PASS program offer tools towards education for this client group via information sessions and workshops with knowledgable and interesting guest speakers. Topics vary, but always aim to encourage and support parents, guardians, grandparents and other community members who care about teens.
We are always interested to receive input on these workshops and topics, so please to our PASS program facilitator Kayla Parkins, know which topics would be on interest.
We strive to make all sessions available to everyone, so FREE child care and Taxi fare can be provided when needed.
PARENT/GUARDIAN SUPORT GROUP
Once a week in the evenings, our program facilitator leads this open group, we also call "Caring for our Teens". No registration is required. For more information, please contact Kayla directly.
STUDENT GROUP SESSIONS
This group meets at Crowsnest Consolidated High School (CCHS), and is a group offering educations support to the teens wishing to attend. All grades or those of similar ages welcomed.
This program facilitates the sharing of professional and personal stories between those in post-secondary education or careers, and those in grades 7-12 (or of same age group). Topics and dates are advertised at CCHS, via our contact e-mail list and on Facebook.
We are pleased to participate alongside CCHS administration and staff and other community agencies to develop programming for healthy eating, active living, and positive social/mental/emotional environments for students and staff.
